Looking for something a bit more
challenging? High Spirits sings a varied, uplifting and sometimes demanding
repertoire from folk songs to classical, gospel to jazz to show tunes. The
selection of songs varies from one season to the next, but is always eclectic
and always fun. Started in 1992 around Ieva's piano, High Spirits has grown to be one of the best community choirs in Vancouver. We perform at concerts, festivals, and nursing homes, bringing
delight to our audiences
Reading music is an asset, a good ear and choral experience are a must. Practice recordings are provided, and singers are expected to be
fairly independent in learning their parts.

Section practices take place 6 times a year, and twice a year we have a one-day workshop with a master voice teacher/conductor.

HELP MAKE IT FUN FOR EVERYONE
Please avoid odours, even
pleasant ones, at lessons, classes, choir and performances. Perfume,
essential oils, hairspray, residual smoke or alcohol, can be troublesome,
especially for those with allergies.
